Why Chakra Healing Bracelets Are NOT Suitable For A Court Hearing
Attending a court hearing is going to make anyone nervous and anxious, isn’t it? But being looking smart and professional can make a big difference, in the UK there is now a more relaxed dress code in certain courts. So, depending on why exactly you’ve been called you might be able to wear your regular day clothes. But just because you can technically do that it doesn’t mean you should.
Impressions matter especially in court which is why you should always dress professionally. If you’re willing to look smart and professional for a job interview then you should make the same effort if you’re going to court. This is especially true if the hearing you are attending is about you and one important thing you should never do is wear a Chakra healing bracelet.
Why You Shouldn’t Wear A Chakra Healing Bracelet!
Chakra healing bracelets as their name implies are bracelets said to have spiritual healing properties, they have deep roots in Indian culture and are said to work by balancing the seven energies or chakras. They are traditionally decorated with seven different coloured stones used to mark each of the chakras.
Because of their colourful design, many people also wear Chakra healing bracelets purely for aesthetic reasons. However, because some people believe Chakra bracelets become more potent when someone is going through a difficult time some people have worn them in court hoping they’ll get a boost of healing properties.
It might sound silly, but this isn’t a debate about whether Chakra healing bracelets work or not. The fact of the matter is they shouldn’t be worn to court because they are not suitable. I know first-hand because I have a friend who attended jury duty and learned this the hard way.
Even though she was there in the service of the court she still felt nervous and spent so much time playing with her bracelet that she simply wasn’t able to focus her attention on the things that mattered.
This meant she was unable to fulfil her role as a member of the jury and she was eventually asked to remove the bracelet if it was causing such a distraction. That might seem harsh but the potential for unnecessary stress is a real risk and you can imagine someone attending a hearing will be much more stressed and anxious that my friend who was only on jury duty.
What Should I Wear To Court?
A Chakra healing bracelet might be nice in your casual day to day wear but when it comes to court they are a distraction and could even be the catalyst for bigger problems. And even if they are well hidden they might not look very professional to some people. So, don’t wear them!
If you’re a man you should stick to a well-fitted black, grey or dark blue suit or at the very least a dress shirt, smart pants and a tie. Women can follow similar advice a well-fitted black or grey suit with either a long skirt or smart pants is the more traditional option. But a simple but elegant dress or pants and smart shirt can also make good court attire.
